Endurance Gold Corporation is deeply saddened at the passing of the Company's President and CEO, Duncan McIvor.
Mr. McIvor, aged 52, passed away on Saturday evening April 10, 2010 after a brief but painful and exhausting battle with cancer. Duncan has served the Company as its President and Director since the Company's formation in June 2004. He was appointed to the additional position of Chief Executive Officer when the Company was listed in March 2005. Duncan was an accomplished exploration geologist and brought to the Company his high ethical standards, practical exploration style and wry sense of humour. He will be missed.
The Board and executive of Endurance extend their deepest sympathies to his longtime partner Karen and family. Details of the family's wishes regarding a memorial and service are expected to be available shortly.
Robert Boyd, who has being assisting with the management of the Company during Mr. McIvor's illness, will continue in that role, pending the appointment of a permanent successor to Mr. McIvor.
